The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources has unveiled an ice cream trail, showcasing 115 dairy farms, farm stands, and ice cream shops that utilize locally sourced milk and cream. This initiative aims to promote and recognize the unique ice cream offerings produced within the state. One notable establishment along this trail is Flayvors of Cook Farm, where visitors can indulge in ice cream made from locally sourced ingredients and even witness the cows that produced the milk. The farm's owner, Gordy Cook, introduces two unique flavors: Ginger, a ginger-infused delight, and Inez, a coconut-based almond with chocolate pieces. This ice cream trail not only supports local businesses but also provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy delicious, locally made treats while learning about the agricultural practices behind them.
